Berry College's Brandon
Shelton was named the SSAC Player of the Week. Pitcher of the Week
honors went to Daniel Gandia from Shorter College.
Brandon Shelton finished the week 8-for-11 (.727) at the plate with three doubles and a triple. The left fielder put up back-to-back 3-for-3 performances against Taylor University and Emmanuel College and had a double in each of those games as well. The sophomore also scored six runs and delivered four RBIs in four games.
Daniel Gandia put an end to Lee University's impressive 34-game winning streak with a shutout performance. The senior gave up only three hits and no earned runs, while striking out two batters against the Flames' high octane offense.
