Justin Barrett of Auburn Montgomery was named the SSAC Pitcher of the week after two strong performances in the conference tournament. Chase Burch's work at the plate earned him the Player of the Week award.

     Justin Barrett started and won two games during the conference tournament last week. The senior gave up only 11 hits and two earned runs over 11.2 innings. Barrett finished 8-2 for the season and closed the year with the 10-7 victory over No. 3 Lee University to secure the tournament championship for the Senators.

     Chase Burch was chosen as the SSAC Player of the Week after batting .476 (10-for-21) in five games during the tournament. The senior scored eight runs, had four doubles, four home runs - including a grand slam in the first match-up with AUM - and 16 RBIs.
