KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Chase Burch from Auburn University at Montgomery has been named the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week, as announced by the NAIA National Office.

Burch led the Senators to the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament Championship as he hit .476 (10-21). Among his 10 hits were four homeruns and four doubles to go along with 16 RBI.

The senior outfielder from Birmingham also scored eight runs in the tournament and was intentionally walked three times. He had a 1.238 slugging percentage overall during the tournament and was named the tournament MVP.

On the season, Burch leads AUM in batting with a .383 average. He is tied for the team-high in hits with 74 and has a team-high 17 doubles. He has hit 10 homeruns and had 52 RBI.

He has a .627 slugging percentage and .474 on-base percentage. He has been a patient hitter at the plate all season with a team-high 30 bases on balls while only striking out 15 times in 230 plate appearances.
