KANSAS CITY, Mo.-There is a new number one at the top of the NAIA Men's Soccer rankings and it is Auburn University at Montgomery.

With the Senators 5-0 start, AUM has overtaken previous number one Lindsey Wilson College as the Blue Raiders dropped a 1-0 overtime thriller to Montreat College.

The Senators move to the top spot is the first stop at the top of the polls since the 2006 season when AUM was held the number one ranking in the season's final poll.

AUM received 17 of the 22 first place votes and 616 total points, out-distancing second-ranked Rio Grande who had four first place votes and 596 points.

AUM had a huge week with three consecutive shutout wins over Emmanuel College (3-0), Houghton College (3-0) and Vanguard University (1-0).

The Senators will be back in action this weekend when they play in the University of Mobile Soccer Classic. They will open the classic with a match against Indiana Wesleyan University at 5 p.m. on Friday. They then will face 10th ranked Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Friday's match, also at 5 p.m.
