ATLANTA -- On Mon., Southern Wesleyan goalkeeper Mitch McKay was announced as Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The league also named Berry's Stefan Wolf as SSAC Offensive Player of the Week.

McKay, a sophomore from Owosso, Mich., logged seven saves as his team logged the surprise win of the week stopping conference leaders Shorter in a 1-1 draw over 110 minutes of play. McKay recorded seven saves as the Warriors held the No. 17-ranked Hawks. McKay followed up his performance against Shorter with a shutout effort against Faulkner. The Warriors won 2-0, as McKay logged six saves.

Wolf was the only Berry player to score in both matches during the week, as he helped Berry post a 2-0 record against a pair of tough conference opponents. The freshman from Rostock, Germany scored the match-winning goal in the Vikings' 3-1 win at Reinhardt. He followed that effort with the opening goal of the match in Berry's 2-1 road win at Lee.
