ATLANTA -- Auburn-Montgomery goalkeeper Kile Kennedy was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Mon. afternoon. Berry midfielder Jorg Bergmann was also named as the SSAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Kennedy is a freshman goalkeeper from Melbourne, Australia. He totalled eight saves as the Senators played to a 1-0 loss to Lindsey Wilson during the week. The freshman allowed just one goal to the high-scoring Blue Raiders and are the top-ranked team in the nation.
Bergmann, a sophomore from Wurselen, Germany, had three assists for Berry during the week. Bergmann played in only one match for Berry, a 3-0 win over Covenant. In that match he had a hand in assisting on all three goals for Berry.
