ATLANTA -- The Southern States Athletic Conference on Mon. named Berry goalkeeper Daniel Bullock as the SSAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The conference also named Auburn-Montgomery striker Yuki Kariya as the SSAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Bullock, a freshman from Lilburn, Ga. had two saves in each game as Berry finished the week an unbeaten 2-0. Bullock made a pair of stops to record his second shutout of the year, in the team's 8-0 win over Faulkner in the final regular season game. He then posted another two saves as No. 4-seed Berry downed No. 5 Southern Wesleyan 3-1 at Ford Field in the quarterfinal round of the SSAC Men's Soccer Tournament.

Kariya, a sophomore midfielder from Osaka, Japan, also propelled his team into the semifinal round of the SSAC Men's Soccer Tournament with an overtime golden goal that gave No. 2-seed AUM a 1-0 win over No. 7-seed Reinhardt on Sat. in Montgomery, Ala. The goal gives Kariya 20 points for the season from seven goals and six assists, making him the leading scorer on the team.

Berry will travel to No. 1-seed Shorter on Wed. to play a semifinal match at 2 p.m. The Senators will host No. 6-seed Lee at 3 p.m. on Wed. in Montgomery, Ala.
