The Emmanuel College Lady Lions' Softball Team continues to reach the highest pinnacle of academic success!

Ricky Sanders, Head Coach, emphasizes the complete concept of student-athletes. He pushes the Lady Lions to be ‘students' first, and ‘athletes' second.

The overall team GPA for the Fall 2008 semester is 3.0.   Nine (9) players have above a 3.0 GPA with Amanda Stillwell scoring a perfect 4.0.  Five (5) players have a 3.5 GPA or better.  This is the 9th straight semester that our team has had a 3.0 or better GPA.

We have two players that will qualify for the National Association Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Daktronics All American Scholar Athelte Award (Caitlyn Bryan and Tiffany Creason Moss).

We also have others who will be Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) All Academic as well as NFCA and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Academic Award winners.  If we can do well  in the Spring Semester our Team should win its third striaght NAIA Scholar Team award given to teams with a 3.0 or better ‘Team GPA' for the year.
