Atlanta, Ga. - For Nicole Frechette, this past week was one she won't forget anytime soon. Not only did she earn her 1000th career point against Reinhardt, get her sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season, but she also was instrumental in her first-ever win against the 5th-ranked Lee University Lady Flames - all of which culminated today with her being named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Frechette scored 11 points (and an impressive 16 rebounds) in the Lady Hawks' 64-57 win over Reinhardt College to put her career point total at 1002 points. She followed that this past Saturday with another solid performance in Shorter's 70-63 win over nationally-ranked Lee, in which she went 8-for-10 from the field and 2-for-4 on free throws to tally 18 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. The win was the Lady Hawks' first win against the Lady Flames since Nov. 8, 2003.

Frechette now has 231 points on the season, averaging over 13 points a game. She also leads the SSAC in rebounds averaging just under 10 a game (top ten in the NAIA), with a total 166.
