FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.-Robert Johnson's field goal with less than a minute left in overtime gave AUM a 77-74 lead on their way to a 77-76 win over Emmanuel College.

With the win, the Senators are the Southern States Athletic Conference regular season champions and will receive the automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament and will be the top seed at the SSAC Tournament next week.

AUM trailed 65-64 with only nine seconds left in the game, but a three-pointer from Ronnie Hickman gave the Senators a 67-65 lead. That lead only lasted a few seconds as Tedrick Hudson came down and hit a field goal at the horn to send the game into overtime.

The overtime saw the Senators out score the host 10-9 and saw two final shots at the goal miss the mark in the final six seconds of the overtime period.

Quadavious Brown had a game-high 24 points to lead AUM and Robert Johnson once again came through with a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Hickman finished the game with 10 points and Kip Small had 11.

Emmanuel was led by its one-two punch of Jaevas McLendon and Hudson who finished with 23 and 22 points in the loss.

AUM had a strong night shooting the ball knocking down 48 percent from the field and 59 percent (10-17) from beyond the three-point line. AUM also knocked down 70 percent of its free throws.

Emmanuel stayed in the game by forcing 21 turnovers and grabbing 14 offensive rebounds. Those two factors led to 30 of their 76 points.

With the win, the Senators move to 23-5 overall and a conference-best record of 15-3. Emmanuel falls to 19-9 overall and 10-7 in the conference.

The game concludes the regular season for AUM, as it will now prepare for its opening round conference tournament opponent that will be announced at the first of next week.
