ROME, Ga. -- Nikki Jackson scored 17 points but the last two were the most important as she led the third-seeded Berry women's basketball team to a 70-69 victory over No. 6-seed Brenau in the final quarterfinal game of the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament. Both teams are now 17-13 for the season, with Berry advancing to tomorrow's semifinal game.

Jackson's 17 points led four Berry players that finished in double-digits. Kayla Carlisle also had a standout effort with 12 points and 21 rebounds. She helped the Lady Vikings earn a 51-39 rebounding edge and a 34-20 advantage in points in the paint. Kare Ross finished with 13 points for the Lady Vikings, while Lakisha Bryant had a trio of three-point baskets and scored 11 points.
