In the second match of the SSAC volleyball tournament, the Shorter College Lady Hawks (25-8) breezed past the seventh-seeded Brewton-Parker Lady Barons. The Lady Barons hung close early, but Shorter was able to pull away late in the first set, taking it 25-16, and they carried that momentum into the second set. Shorter began the set on a 9-1 run, en route to a 25-11 set win. Shorter continued to play well in the third set, finishing off the Barons 25-17. With the win, Shorter advances to the semifinals, where they will meet the winner of the 2:30 match between Columbia and Faulkner.
