
The Lee University Lady Flames (31-5) earned a spot in the SSAC title match with a sweep of Brenau (24-11) in the first semifinal match on Friday evening. Lee jumped out quickly in the first set, and cruised to a 25-14 win to take a 1-0 lead. After initially scuffling to begin set number two, the Lady Flames righted the ship and took a commanding 2-0 lead with a 25-17 set two victory, putting themselves on the verge of a victory that would ensure them a chance to defend their title. Brenau fought valiantly in the decisive third set, but after tying the match at 22, the Golden Tigers surrendered three consecutive points and the Lady Flames claimed the 3-0 victory. Lee will face the winner of the Friday's second semifinal, which features the Shorter Lady Hawks and the Faulkner Lady Eagles, in the SSAC championship match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
