
NORCROSS, Ga. - The Board of Athletic Directors had unanimously approved at their December 6 meeting to forward to the SSAC Board of Presidents the use of an alternative logo. Given the need for a more user-friendly marketing logo, the SSAC Executive Committee at its January 28, 2010 meeting supported the concept of a new logo and they approved the use of the logo as an alternative logo. This procedure occurred so that the official approval could be conducted by the SSAC Board of Presidents at their June 2010 meetings.
The concept of taking our current logo and
implementing as our new conference seal was approved at all levels of the SSAC
last year. Keeping this seal as
a part of the conference will allow for a smoother and slower transition to this
new more marketing-oriented logo. This seal will continue to be used on
trophies, plaques, and on some historical items where as our new logo will be
incorporated into all of our new marketing efforts including the web page,
championship marketing materials, banners, flyers, etc.
