Rome, Ga. - Teddrick Hardy and Jerel Blocker scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, as top-seeded Lee University routed No. 8-seed Brewton-Parker College, 66-44, in the quarterfinals of the Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championships at The Forum in Rome, Ga., on Thursday night.

With the win, the Flames (25-6) advance to Friday night's semifinal round also at The Forum. Lee will take on the winner of No. 4 Emmanuel College and No. 5 Faulkner University at 8 p.m. tomorrow evening.

Brewton-Parker ends its season with a 9-22 record.

Lee had little trouble dispatching of the Barons, who shot just 25.9 percent for the game and scored a meager 19 points in the first half.

The Flames displayed an incredibly balanced offensive attack, getting contributions from just about everyone who stepped foot on the hardwood.

Reserve point guard Caleb Skogan fueled Lee offensively early on, going 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first half. Steven McClellan, Larriques Cunningham, Blocker and Hardy each knocked down one trey as Lee canned seven triples in the opening period and took a 34-19 lead into the halftime break.

Brewton-Parker's top-two leading scorers, Brandon Barron and Cory Roth, struggled mightily from the field, combining to go 5-of-17 for 13 points. Barron fouled out in just 19 minutes and Roth went 0-for-3 from distance as the Barons shot 1-of-18 from three for the game.

Lee was relentless on the boards as well, out rebounding Brewton-Parker, 49-40, and snatching 16 offensive rebounds. Lee's Chad James was a big factor in the rebounding battle, snaring a game-high 13 boards to go along with his seven points.

Andrew Dikas led Brewton-Parker with 14 points and was the only member of his team to reach double figures.

Skogen finished with nine points, as did Cunningham, who also recorded three blocks. Rodney Spruill came off the bench to score seven points and Josh Nofflet chipped in with six for the Flames.
