The Flames had just four hits through the first six innings of the game before erupting for a late offensive effort that saw the team score six runs on six hits over the final two innings.

Mired in a one-run game, Lee started the late rally with two hits in bottom of the seventh inning. Both Tanner Moore and Junior Rodriguez both hit solo home runs to extend the Flames lead to 7-4. LU added four more runs on four hits in the bottom of the eighth to lead by an 11-4 margin.

Faulkner out-hit Lee 10-4 over the first six innings, but trailed after an early error had allowed Lee to post a four-run first inning and eventually take a 5-0 lead. The Lions battled back and Chris Reynolds' two-RBI double helped EC make it a 5-3 game with three runs in the fifth.

Reynolds, Chris Ivey and Jay Flowers each finished 2-for-4 for Emmanuel, which out-hit Lee 12-10 for the game. Nine different players recorded a hit for the Lions in the game.
