The Barons fell behind 4-0 early in the game, but the team's  pitching duo of Delgis Soto and Drew Parker regained control and shut out the Flames for the final 12 innings of play to earn the come-from-behind victory. On the other side of the ball, Scott Swinson and Aaron Everett allowed just three earned runs and eight hits.

Parker (6-7) picked up the win for the Barons as he worked six and one-third scoreless innings of relief and struck out six batters. Everett (5-6) was the hard-luck loser in the game as he struck out eight batters over seven and one-third innings without giving up an earned run.

The starters for both teams were equally masterful. Soto went eight and two-thirds of an inning and struck out four batters. Swinson went seven innings for the Flames and struck out nine batters.

Fox won the game with a bases-loaded ground ball to the shortstop. Although the play could have led to an inning-ending double play, the throw went over the second baseman's head allowing Ryan Hewitt to score the game-winning run.

The error was the second of the inning, after Hewitt had reached on a dropped pop fly on the infield. Brewton-Parker took advantage of five Lee errors to win the game despite being out-hit 12-8.

Tanner Moore put Lee ahead with a solo home run in the first inning. The Flames went ahead 4-0 in the third with RBI-singles from Jose Cuevas and Seth Walker, followed by a wild pitch that allowed Edgar Molina to score. Molina was the top- batter for the flames going 3-for-6.

Fox was 2-for-6 with three RBIs to lead the Baron's hitting efforts. He put the team on the board with an RBI-double in the bottom of the fourth. Then Jacob Evors delivered a two-run home run in the sixth that made it a 4-3 game. The Barons pushed the tying run across in the eighth on another RBI single by Fox that plated Randall Shepherd. Evors finished the game 2-for-6 for the Barons and scored twice.

Lee tried to push the go-ahead run home in the 11th, but Brian Hobbs threw out Preston Scroggins at the plate. The Flames also had a runner on base in the 15th, but when an errant pick-off throw allowed Molina to take second base, he was thrown trying to advance to third.

For the Flames, JJ Costantino was 3-for-7 with a run scored and Taylor Comford also had multiple hits, going 2-for-4.

The final SSAC Tournament game for Friday is between No. 3-seed Southern Polytechnic State and No. 2-seed Faulkner and is slated to start at 9:15 p.m.
