MOUNT BERRY, Ga....Due to the probability of unsafe travel conditions caused by the arrival of Hurricane Ivan, Thursday night's scheduled Southern States Athletic Conference volleyball match between Georgia Southwestern State University and Berry College at Berry's Richards Gym has been postponed, according to Berry athletics director Todd Brooks.  The match has been rescheduled for Thurs., Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at Richards Gym.

     Berry had already pushed up the time of its first serve at Southern Wesleyan on Saturday to 3 p.m., for similar safety issues.  That match was originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

     The Vikings are 5-2 overall and 2-0 in conference action heading into Saturday's match.  Berry is currently riding a five match winning streak and, dating back to last season, has won 10 of its past 14 matches.
