Several Lady Flames basketball players received awards after capping their most successful season since the 1998-99 campaign. 

 

 

The Lee University women finished with a 23-12 record and finished fourth in the Southern States Athletic Conference with a 12-8 mark.  The season concluded with a 66-55 loss to Columbia College ( Mo.) at the NAIA National Tournament, only Lee’s second appearance ever. 

 

 

Senior Stacy Felchner was honored for her impressive season by being named an NAIA Third Team All-American athlete.  She averaged 13.7 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game.  She made 59 percent of her field goal attempts, seventh in the NAIA.  A native of Scottsville, Ky., Felchner had nine 20-point games and four double-doubles.  She is only the second Lady Flame to be listed on an All-American team, following Beth Bartram in 1998-99. 

 

 

Leah Green and Heidi Hamilton both received an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete award for their work on and off the court this season.  Hamilton, a senior Business Administration major, graduates with a 4.0 GPA.  She scored 186 points this season, averaging 5.5 per game.  She also had 49 assists and 43 steals.  Green, known for her defense, has a 3.93 GPA.  The junior Athletic Training major recorded 86 assists, 21 blocks, and 50 steals, while scoring 158 points. 

 

 

Sophomore Heidi Rominger was named a CoSIDA Third Team All-District IV Academic player.  She has a 4.0 GPA as a Health Science Major.  As the floor leader for the Lady Flames, Rominger amassed 195 assists, and was ranked No. 7 in the NAIA for her 5.6 per game average.  She recorded 6.1 ppg and had 49 steals.
