Karr, a 6-3 OF SR from Homewood, Ala., led Berry to a perfect 4-0 record last week by hitting .727 with three home runs and eight RBI. The left fielder picked up hits in eight of his 11 at-bats, with five of those going for extra bases. In a non-conference game against Buena Vista at BellSouth Park, home of the Class AA Chattanooga Lookouts, his home run nearly landed on the nearby US highway. He belted home runs in each of the week's first three games. In the Buena Vista game, Karr went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and four RBI. In the first game of a doubleheader against Shorter, he was 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, and followed that with a three RBI performance in the second game of that Friday doubleheader.
