The familiar face of Coach TJ Rosene will head the men’s basketball program at Reinhardt College after leading the Lady Eagles basketball team for three years. Rosene’s new position comes after the resignation of Eagles Head Coach Joe Kennamer on April 27.
Head Baseball Coach and Athletic Director, Coach Bill Popp states, “I have full confidence in Coach Rosene to spear head the men’s program and think he will do just an outstanding job in the new position.”
During his four seasons at Reinhardt, Kennamer lead the Eagles to two appearances at the NAIA National Tournament and earned the Eagles’ first GAC Conference title.
“Coach Kennemar did a great job getting this program headed in the right direction. I hope to build on what has been started,” said Rosene, a 2000 graduate of Reinhardt. “I look forward to the challenge with losing some seniors this year and I plan for a smooth adjustment for all.”
Coach Rosense started his coaching career as the assistant to the men’s team from 2000-2002. Rosene was named Head Coach for the Lady Eagles in 2002 and has proven to be successful bringing the women’s program to new heights and record breaking seaons. During the 2003-04 season, the Lady Eagles went 20-13, earned a conference tournament appearance, and Coach Rosene was named Conference Coach of the Year. For the 2004-05 season, the Lady Eagles broke several school records and ended with a 22-11 overall record and 11-9 in the conference.
