MOUNT BERRY, Ga....National golf publication Golfweek has ranked Berry College's women's team fourth in the magazine's NAIA preseason national rankings, released in Golfweek's September 10 issue.

      Berry was ranked behind Oklahoma City, Southern Nazarene and British Columbia University, respectively, and ahead of Embry-Riddle.

      Berry is returning six players from last year's squad that finished sixth in the NAIA national tournament, including three-time All-American Nicole Wildes.

      Golfweek's preaseason NAIA top five men's teams are Oklahoma City, Johnson & Wales, Oklahoma Christian, Texas Wesleyan and Point Loma Nazarene, respectively.

      Berry's women's team will open its 2005 season in tri-match against Shorter and Oglethorpe Thursday at Stonebridge Golf Club, while Berry's men's team will go head-to-head against Shorter Thursday at Stonebridge.
