After a record-setting week (Sept. 11-16), Lee University's Ligia Zobolli has been selected as the NAIA National Volleyball Player of the Week. A senior outside hitter from Curitiba, Brazil, Zobolli had already been named the Southern States Athletic Conference and the NAIA Region XIII Player of the Week.

Zobolli broke a school record with 13 aces and registered a triple-double (13 aces, 13 kills and 10 digs) in a three-game SSAC match against  Reinhardt College (Ga.) on Sept. 12. She also recorded a career-high 32 digs in a thrilling five-game match against Martin Methodist College (Tenn.) in the final round of the Lee University Invitational Tournament.

For the week, Zobolli's remarkable numbers in 18 games were 70 kills, 65 digs, 20 aces and two assists. Lee stands at 10-1 on the year and the Lady Flames are ranked 16th nationally by the NAIA.
