Lee's Stanley Nyazamba and Berry's Patryk Stojny were selected as the Southern States Athletic Conference's Men's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday.

Nyazamba plays in the midfield for the Flames and is Lee's all-time assist leader. He added to his total with pair of assists and three goals during the week. The Bulawayo, Zimbabwe native had a goal and an assist against the Shorter Hawks. He then had two goals and an assist againt Brewton-Parker. His efforts have been crucial for the Flames who have been playing without injured star Ricardo Pierre-Louis.


Stojny helped his Berry team stay on top of the SSAC standings with a pair of stout defensive efforts. The team captain from Rodermark, Germany made multiple game-saving tackles as Berry shutout AUM 1-0 on Saturday. The senior captained the defense allowed just six shots on goal over two games. In Berry's shutout over the Senators, the Berry defense allowed just five shots on goal. Strojny also played a key defensive role in Berry's 2-1 win over Reinhardt. In that match Berry allowed just one shot on goal.
