MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Berry clinched the SSAC Regular Season title with a 3-2 double-overtime win over Lee on Friday. On Monday, the conference named two players from the Berry team as Men's Soccer Players of the Week. Jorg Bergmann was the offensive POTW, while Mike Wentzler was named the defensive Player of the Week for the Conference.

Bergmann finished the week with a goal and five assists for the Vikings, as the team went 2-0 against a pair of SSAC opponents. The freshman from Wurselen, Germany scored the match-winning goal in Berry's match against Faulkner during the midweek. He then dished out three assists to his teammates in the 8-0 win. Bergmann then assisted on two more Berry goals, including the game-winner, as No. 14 Berry knocked off No. 6 Lee at Ford Field.

Wentzler also had a huge role in the wins for the Vikings. The Duluth, Ga. native was great in the overtime session against Lee. Three times the Lee forwards came in one-on-one against Wentzler and all three times were denied. His biggest save came in the 96th minute when he denied the conference's leading scorer Ricardo Pierre-Louis on a one-on-one chance from just outside the six-yard area.

Against Faulkner the senior All-American was forced to make four saves including one deflected shot to keep his a clean sheet. The shutout was the fifth of the season for the keeper from Duluth, Ga.
