Grace Brannon of Berry College and Kristy Walker and Kayla Rollins of SSAC Tournament champion Shorter College have won the final SSAC Volleyball weekly awards for the 2007 season.

Brannon, a junior outside hitter from Vestavia Hills, Ala. has been named SSAC Player of the Week as she helped lead the Vikings to a third place finish at the SSAC Tournament. For the weekend, she averaged 4.53 kills per game, 2.4 digs per game, and added five service aces. Brannon’s play in a 1-3 loss to Shorter was spectacular as she totaled 27 kills and only three errors in 52 attempts for a .461 hitting percentage. Brannon was also selected to the all-tournament Team.
 

Walker, a junior setter from Ringgold, Ga., has been named SSAC Setter of the Week as she helped lead the Lady Hawks to the SSAC Tournament championship. Walker, who was also an all-tournament selection helped orchestrate a very efficient offense as she averaged 12.83 assists per game. She chipped in with 2.5 digs per game and four service aces. In two 3-2 victories over top seeded Lee University, Walker recorded 57 and 53 assists and had 12 digs and one service ace in each of the two matches.

 
Rollins, a junior libero from Acworth, Ga. has been named SSAC Libero of the Week as she anchored the back row defense for Shorter College. In four matches, Rollins averaged 5.6 digs per game, had a .932 serve receive reception percentage, and added four service aces. In the Lady Hawks’ two victories over Lee, Rollins had 34 and 26 digs, her two highest totals in their four tournament matches.
 
Other Notable Performances:

Keni Abercrombie, Southern Wesleyan: Averaged 6.3 digs per game as the Warriors went 1-2.

Shawn Carroll, Berry College: Totaled 35 digs in the Vikings 3-1 victory over Faulkner University.

Kasi Runion, Shorter College: Averaged 3.5 kills per game, 1.2 blocks per game, and was named to the all-tournament team.
