Rome, Ga. - Second-seeded Southern Polytechnic State University rallied from an 11-point first half deficit and got a second tournament double-double from Brent Jennings en route to a 69-63 victory over No. 1-seed Lee University in the championship game of the 2010 Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championships.

Rome, Ga. - In a season filled with so many firsts, head coach Nate Teymer and his Southern Polytechnic State University Runnin' Hornets can add one more to the ever-growing list: Southern States Athletic Conference champion. Behind 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals from Tournament MVP Marissa Stotler, second-seeded Southern Poly earned a 59-51 victory over No. 1-seed Lee University in the finals of the 2010 SSAC Women's Basketball Championships, securing the league's automatic berth into the NAIA National Championships held March 17-23 at Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn.

Rome, Ga. - Brooke McKinnon scored a game-high 18 points and top-seeded Lee University held No. 5-seed Auburn University-Montgomery without a field goal for the first 11 minutes of the second half as the Lady Flames earned a trip to the SSAC championship game with a 53-35 win over the Lady Senators on Friday night at The Forum in Rome, Ga.
