Rome, Ga. - The Shorter College women's basketball team understands the big picture. Because of that, the Lady Hawks were able to present one big check. On Thursday, Feb. 18 at halftime of the Shorter men's basketball
game against Emmanuel College, the Shorter women's basketball program
presented the Floyd Breast Center with a $16,000 donation towards
cancer awareness and research projects, part of a continuing effort
that has raised $31,000 for The Breast Center in the last two years and
better than $100,000 in the past decade.
