Gainesville, GA- The Brenau University cross country team collected 90 dozen cookies for Treat the Troops and raised $200 in donations for the postage. They helped to fill 119 boxes that will be shipped to the troops. Each box contained five dozen homebaked cookies, handwarmers, hot chocolate packets, magazines, handwritten letters from students from various schools in Hall and Forsyth Counties, candy and personal hygiene items.
The project was organized by Coach Susan McIntyre, who has participated in Treat the Troops for several years and believes strongly in the importance of supporting our Armed Forces during this time of the year.
