DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Dalton State (Ga.) golf team played with many of the best teams from the NAIA over the weekend and finished fourth out of 21 teams.


Johnson & Wales (Fla.) went on to take the NAIA Fall Preview Championship at the 6,859-yard, par-72 LPGA International Hills Course.

Loyola Names Jeff Lorio Head Men's & Women's Golf Coach

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Loyola (La.) Director of Athletics and Wellness Brett Simpson announced the hiring of Jeff Lorio as head coach of the men's and women's golf teams today. Lorio served as the assistant golf coach for the 2013-14 season.

During Lorio's time as assistant coach, the women's squad finished second in the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament. The team qualified to play at the NAIA National Championships, where they placed 20th, in just the second season of the program. The women's freshmen class also ranked fifth in the country via Golfstat.
