Marty Lovrich Named Head Baseball Coach at Auburn Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — After spending two seasons as the head baseball coach at Southern Poly (Ga.), former Warhawks' longtime assistant coach Marty Lovrich was announced as the new head coach at Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) Tuesday.


Lovrich will take over for the only head coach in the program's history, Q.V. Lowe, who will officially retire on July 31.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Former Faulkner (Ala.) pitcher and Millbrook native Austin Adams has been assigned to the Cleveland Indians major league club, the organization announced Friday.


Adams, who played for the Eagles from 2006-2009, had been with the Indians' Triple A affiliate in Columbus, Ohio, where he had been virtually unhittable in his last 19 appearances out of the bullpen. In 25.2 innings of work, the right-hander has allowed only one run, while striking out 23. His ERA over the stretch is 0.35.
