Faulkner and Lee Advance in NAIA World Series

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket | Live Video) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the official seeds and bracket for the 2013 Avista-NAIA World Series, hosted by Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) from May 24 – 31 at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho. Faulkner (Ala.) received the No. 1 seed in the 57th annual event with an Opening Round championship at the Montgomery Bracket.

Flames Advance to Second Round of World Series: Eagles Move to 3-1 in Opening Round

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lee and Faulkner pick up wins on third day of NAIA World Series. The Flames defeated Avila (Mo.) 14-0 to advance to the second round of the World Series. Faulkner picked up a pair of wins to move to 3-1 in the opening round. In the first game of the day the Eagles defeated Indiana Tech 15-2. Faulkner then defeated Texas Wesleyan 9-1. Faulkner will play Texas Wesleyan again on Monday, May 13 at 1 p.m. CST to determine who moves on to the second round of the World Series. William Carey was eliminated from the World Series after falling to Oklahoma Baptist 13-5. The Crusaders finished the World Series at 1-2 overall.

Lee Picks Up Win to Move to 2-0: Faulkner and William Carey 1-1 in NAIA Baseball World Series

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lee University picked up its second win of the NAIA World Series to move to 2-0. The Flames defeated Madonna (Mich.) 9-2 and will face the winner of Madonna vs. Avila (Mo.) to advance to the second round of the World Series. The Flames will play at 6 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 11. Faulkner University dropped its second game of the World Series falling to Texas Wesleyan 4-2 in 10 innings. The Eagles will play Indiana Tech at 3 p.m. CST on Saturday, May 11. The winner of that game will move on to play Texas Wesleyan at 7 p.m. CST on Saturday, May 11. William Carey also dropped its second game of the World Series falling to Northwood (Texas) 9-0. The Crusaders will play Oklahoma Baptist at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday, May 11. The winner of that game will play Northwood at 4 p.m. CST on Saturday, May 11. Please see below for a full opening round World Series schedule.

SSAC Opens Up 3-0 in NAIA Baseball World Series

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - No. 1 Faulkner, No. 3 Lee, and No. 25 William Carey open the 2013 NAIA Baseball World Series with wins. The top ranked Eagles defeated Indiana Tech 16-2. The Flames defeated Avila (Mo.) 12-3. And the Crusaders defeated Oklahoma Baptist 7-3. All three return to action on Friday, May 10. Faulkner will play Texas Wesleyan at 3 p.m. CST.
