COLUMBUS, Ga. – (Box Score) Sophomore right fielder Shea Blanchard hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to lead No. 10 seed Spring Hill (Ala.) to a 6-3 victory over  No. 7 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) in the opening round of the 2013 NAIA Softball National Championship final site at the South Commons Softball Complex on Friday. The Badgers move into the winner's bracket of the double-elimination event and will play No. 2 Lubbock Christian (Texas) Saturday at 4 p.m. EDT. AUM plays Saturday at 1 p.m. in the loser's bracket.

COLUMBUS, Ga. - AUM, Lee, and Spring Hill advance to the final ten team bracket of the 2013 NAIA Softball National Championship. The final site for the softball national championship will be at South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Ga. Auburn-Montgomery and Spring Hill will face off in the opening game of the final site competition. The Warhawks and Badgers will play at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24. The Lady Flames of Lee University will play in the night cap on Friday when they take on William Baptist (Ark.) at 7:30 p.m. All times are local, EST. KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Day two of the opening round of the 2013 NAIA Softball National Championship concluded with all four SSAC teams advancing to the championship game in their respective pools. Belhaven opened up Tuesday, May 14 with a loss to Reinhardt (Ga.) 8-0. The Blazers rebounded picking up the win over LSU Alexandria (La.) 6-2 and will face Reinhardt at 1 p.m. CST on Wednesday May 15. Lee moved to 2-0 in the championship after defeating Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) 8-1. The Flames will face Olivet Nazarene in the championship game at 1 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 15. Auburn-Montgomery also improved to 2-0 after defeating Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) 5-1. The Warhawks will face Lindsey Wilson in the championship game at 1 p.m. CST on Wednesday, May 15. Spring Hill dropped it's first game of the day to USC Beaufort 6-4. The Badgers came back and defeated Cumberland (Tenn.) 6-0. KANSAS CITY, Mo. - All four of the SSAC teams to qualify for the softball national championship picked up wins on Monday, May 13. The Blazers of Belhaven University opened up with a win over William Woods (Mo.) 2-0. The Blazers return to action Tuesday, May 14 against Reinhardt (Ga.) at 1 p.m. CST. The Lee University Flames upended Bethel (Ind.) 3-1 and will face Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) at 2 p.m. EST on Tuesday, May 14. Auburn-Montgomery defeated Grand View (Iowa) 5-2. The Warhawks will face Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) at 1 p.m. CST on Tuesday, May 14. Finally, the Badgers of Spring Hill handled Virginia Intermont 10-0 in five innings.
