Biloxi, Miss. - Last night topped the year of classic volleyball in the SSAC. Previously unbeaten and nationally-ranked Spring Hill, lost a hard fought contest against #4-ranked Lee University in four sets. The two ranked teams battled in a gym filled to capacity, consisting mostly of Spring Hill fans that traveled from nearby Mobile. Lee University, with it's dominate front line, outlasted the Badgers winning 3-1. The Flames were led by Senior Arlene Ferreira who was also named and the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Ferreira had 23 kills and seven blocks.


Norcross, Ga. - This year's conference tournament has a lot riding on it with regards to post season qualifying. An automatic bid is on the line for any of the eight participating teams to capture. Favorites to make the finals would be unbeaten and #19 ranked Spring Hill College and #4 Lee University. These teams met earlier in the year with Spring Hill (36-0, 14-0) defeating Lee (27-2, 14-1) in Mobile. The tournament is being held at the newly constructed Ray Kroc Salvation Army Community Center in Biloxi, Mississippi on Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12.

MOBILE, Ala. - With a 22-kill performance in the Badgers' 3-0 victory at Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday night, senior right side hitter Yiting Cao of Shanghai, China, surpassed the 1,000 kills plateau and now stands at 1,011 kills in her 2-year career at Spring Hill College.
