Rome, Ga. - In a season filled with so many firsts, head coach Nate Teymer and his Southern Polytechnic State University Runnin' Hornets can add one more to the ever-growing list: Southern States Athletic Conference champion. Behind 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals from Tournament MVP Marissa Stotler, second-seeded Southern Poly earned a 59-51 victory over No. 1-seed Lee University in the finals of the 2010 SSAC Women's Basketball Championships, securing the league's automatic berth into the NAIA National Championships held March 17-23 at Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn.
