Norcross, Ga. - This year the coaches' preseason vote was as close as it can be between Faulkner University and Lee University with the top spot being separated by only one point in the 2012 preseason coaches' poll.

MOBILE, Ala. - On Wednesday nights for the past five years the Spring Hill College baseball team has been devoting their time, efforts and smiles to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. On September 15, 2011, the team received recognition for their work from The Arc of Alabama, Inc., and was selected to receive the Boggs/Mitchell Award at the 2011 Alabama Disability Conference. The award recognizes a chapter or community organization providing year-round, challenging and inclusive recreational/leisure-time programs for people with disabilities

Former Lee University shortstop Jose Cuevas (2009), who is nearing completion of his first season in professional baseball, recently earned a huge honor from the Arizona League. He was recognized as the circuit's best talent.

Norcross, Ga.- Eight (8) out of the 46 NAIA baseball players selected in the three-day Major League Baseball draft were players from institutions in the Southern States Athletic Conference.
