Rome, Ga. - In a season filled with so many firsts, head coach Nate Teymer and his Southern Polytechnic State University Runnin' Hornets can add one more to the ever-growing list: Southern States Athletic Conference champion. Behind 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals from Tournament MVP Marissa Stotler, second-seeded Southern Poly earned a 59-51 victory over No. 1-seed Lee University in the finals of the 2010 SSAC Women's Basketball Championships, securing the league's automatic berth into the NAIA National Championships held March 17-23 at Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn.

ROME, Ga. -- The fifth-seeded Auburn-Montgomery Lady Senators won with defense in a 38-34 victory over fourth-seeded Emmanuel in the final quarterfinal game of the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament at Darlington's Huffman Athletic Center on Thursday.

The Lady Senators run their win total to 15-14, while the Lady Lions end the season with a record of 18-13.
